Pei
Mei is one of the Great Schools emanating from the Shaolin tradition.
Its name comes from its Founder who lived during the 18th century.
Grand Master Pei Mei belonged to a group commonly known as the “Invincible
Five”.
Health
The
internal energy techniques specific to Pei Mei Kung Fu (and
often to others) eliminate most health problems, slow down
ageing and help correct physical / congenital defects.
Physical
Conditioning
Through
regular practice of Kung Fu, the student will not only develop
remarkable health but will also gain endurance, flexibility,
strength and breath. |
This
centuries of old tradition has been kept to this day thanks to the
perseverance of its practitioners, amongst them the sadly departed
Head Grand Master Lu Ping Woon
and his disciple, inheritor of this great science, Grand Master
Nam Anh.
The
complete system of Pei Mei is taught only orally and only after
long and arduous practice. Thus this web site is not designed
to teach or expound upon the principles or techniques regulating
its practice. In order to get know our Art, it is best
to show up at one of our classes.
Self
defence
The
martial techniques of Pei Mei have been proven throughout
the centuries to be amongst the most efficient and elegent
known. It will permit students to defend themselves
from all types of aggression.
A
Martial Art
The
martial science of Pei Mei comprises all of the tradition
aspects of Kung Fu including: combat techniques, Eastern
medecine, geomancy, astrology, etc. and thus can be
called without contest a Martial Art.

The
original programme of Grand Master Tang Hue Bac‘s School comprised
9 forms (unarmed) before the red sash of Master. Grand Master Tang
Hue Bac added three more to this. The complete programme of the
style comprises 18 hand forms as well as numerous weapon forms such
as the staff (Con), the Tonfas or the butterfly knives (Dao).
The
student will have to familiarise himself
with certain Chi Kung exercises necessary at certain intervals of
progress, as well as the fundamentals of Eastern medicine, and the
essential texts of the 3 religions comprising the study of the Royal
Way of martial arts.
